About
Dr. Juhi Parmar
I’ve always been fascinated by what shapes the way we think, feel, and connect - the quiet patterns that define so much of our lives. With a background in cognitive and clinical psychology, I bring both scientific grounding and human sensitivity to my counselling practice.

My approach combines structure with warmth: it’s evidence-based, yet intuitive; reflective, yet action-oriented. I draw from methods like CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness, translating psychological theory into language and tools that make sense in everyday life. I often weave in references from literature, research, and especially pop culture - because insight can come from anywhere, as long as it helps us understand ourselves better.

Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals navigating a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges - from anxiety, perfectionism, and chronic stress to attention struggles, intrusive thoughts, and deeply ingrained patterns of self-criticism. Whether someone comes to explore relationships, identity, or long-standing inner conflicts, my role is to help them connect the dots and move toward clarity and change.

Counselling with me isn’t about “fixing” yourself. It’s about slowing down enough to understand what’s really going on - and learning to respond differently, with more awareness and self-trust. Together, we’ll explore what drives your patterns, strengthen your emotional toolkit, and build habits that support balance and meaning.

Having lived and worked across India, UK, Greece, and Germany, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to my work. I understand how identity, belonging, and transition affect our mental health - especially for expats, high performers, and those navigating life between worlds.

At its core, my work is about helping people feel more grounded and in charge of their inner world - equipped with both understanding and the tools to live it out.

Making Complex Ideas Land
Europe-wide Runner-Up, 3-Minute Thesis Competition, 2023 | University Winner — Jury & Audience Choice
Title: "Will the Real Puppet Master Please Stand Up? Understanding Priming Processes"

Before we can change a pattern, we need to understand what's running it. My doctoral research explored exactly this at a fundamental level — how priming processes shape automatic behaviour and habits in ways we rarely notice or question.
In 2023, I distilled four and a half years of doctoral work into three minutes for a non-specialist audience at the "3-Minute Thesis" competition. It confirmed something I already suspected: that translating complexity into clarity is where I come alive.
